FAQs
BEFORE YOUR APPOINTMENT
-
Your first appointment begins with a thorough consultation so I can understand your skin, lifestyle, current routine and what you’d like to achieve.
From there, your treatment is completely bespoke. I’ll assess your skin on the day and choose the most appropriate combination of techniques, massage and products rather than following a set protocol.
The aim is always to work with your skin, not against it.
-
If you’re unsure, don’t worry. All of my facials are bespoke and can be adapted to your skin on the day.
If you have a particular concern or goal in mind, you’re welcome to get in touch before booking, and I can help guide you toward the most suitable treatment.
-
Please arrive with clean skin where possible and avoid using any new or particularly active skincare immediately before your appointment.
If you’re having a treatment such as microneedling, you’ll receive any specific preparation advice you need beforehand.
Most importantly, come as you are. There’s no need to do anything complicated before you arrive.
-
Yes. You’re welcome to park on the driveway.
-
Yes. The studio is on the top floor, so there are two sets of stairs to reach the studio.

YOUR TREATMENT
-
Yes. Facial massage is an important part of my treatments and is adapted to you on the day.
Depending on what your skin and tissues need, this may include sculpting massage, lymphatic drainage, fascial release, buccal massage or facial cupping.
-
Absolutely. Sensitive or reactive skin often benefits from a more considered approach.
Treatments are adapted according to the condition of your skin on the day, with a focus on supporting the barrier rather than overwhelming it.
If your skin is particularly reactive, we may take a slower approach and prioritise calming and strengthening your skin barrier.
-
Yes, but it’s important that I know exactly what you’re using.
Please provide details of your current skincare routine when booking, particularly if you use retinoids, exfoliating acids, prescription skincare or other active ingredients.
This allows me to tailor your treatment safely and appropriately.
-
Yes. Dermalux LED is incorporated into all of my treatments.
LED is a non-invasive treatment that uses clinically proven wavelengths of light to support the skin. It’s particularly useful when the skin needs a little extra support without adding unnecessary stimulation.
-
I treat every client on an individual basis and will always prioritise the health and integrity of your skin.
If I feel that a particular treatment isn’t appropriate for you at that time, I’ll explain why and recommend the safest next step.
I also won’t microneedle skin I haven’t seen in person first.
-
Yes. I treat teenagers with parental consent on a case-by-case basis.

SKIN & SKINCARE
-
Corneotherapy is an approach to skin health that focuses on protecting, supporting and restoring the skin barrier.
Rather than continually treating symptoms, we look at why your skin may be struggling in the first place and work gradually to restore its natural function.
Think of your skin barrier like the roof of a house. If the roof is compromised, the priority is to repair it before adding anything else.
My role is to understand what your skin needs and help restore that foundation.
-
Yes. Skincare and treatment should work together.
Where appropriate, I can recommend a simple, considered homecare routine based on your skin, lifestyle and individual goals. Every product should have a purpose.
My approach is always repair, restore, then rejuvenate.
-
A homecare consultation looks beyond your skin alone.
We’ll talk through your current routine, skin history, lifestyle, environment and any concerns you have before creating a routine specifically for you.
I take a low and slow approach wherever possible. Introducing fewer products gradually allows us to understand how your skin responds and, importantly, protect the skin barrier along the way.
-
I work primarily with Dermaviduals and Prologic, both of which align with my corneotherapeutic approach to skin health.
The products I use in treatment and recommend for homecare are carefully selected according to your individual skin rather than a routine that’s designed for everyone
-
There isn’t one schedule that works for everyone.
For some clients, a treatment every 4–6 weeks works well alongside their homecare routine, but it's totally up to you! I have clients that come every 4,6,8 or 12 weeks.
Your skin will always guide the treatment frequency rather than following a one-size-fits-all programme.
FAQs
AFTER YOUR TREATMENT
-
This depends on the treatment you’ve had, but wherever possible, it’s best to give your skin 24 hours makeup-free after a facial.
Some treatments allow makeup to be applied afterwards, while others require a period of leaving the skin completely alone.
I’ll always give you clear aftercare advice at the end of your appointment so you know exactly what to do and what to avoid.
-
I’ll talk you through your individual aftercare and advise you on what to use, what to avoid and when you can return to your usual routine.

BOOKING & GIFTING
-
Of course.
If you’re unsure which treatment is right for you, please get in touch. I’d much rather help you choose the right treatment than have you book something that isn’t suited to your skin.
-
Unfortunately, as my booking diary is currently closed to new clients, I’m unable to offer gift voucher bookings at this time.
